Tompkins County has three institutions of higher learning: Cornell University, Ithaca College, and Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3). Cornell and Ithaca College are both in Ithaca, giving the city and town a collegiate atmosphere.

Cornell University
Cornell is the largest of the Ivies and boasts programs in just about every academic field.
