Cayuga Wine Trail hosts Wild Cards Wild Weekend



The wineries of the Cayuga Wine Trail will host the annual Wild Cards Wild Weekend Saturday and Sunday. Collect playing cards at each winery, plus receive prizes for card-winning combinations, along with a commemorative glass and wine and food pairings. The highest scorer will win a one night stay at the Hampton Inn-Ithaca.

Some of the prizes that will be given out include corkscrews, t-shirts, individual bottles of wine and sample cases of wine.

The wineries will be serving picnic-type foods, including curry potato salad (Six Mile Creek Vineyard), colossal stuffed olives (Hosmer Winery) and chorizo and sweet pepper cornbread (Knapp Winery).

Hours for the event are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday; noon - 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are valid for both days. Advance tickets: $ 15.00 per person. Tickets at the door: $ 20.00 per person. Designated Driver Tickets are available for this event at $10 each. Tickets also can be purchased at any Wegmans store

Special Notice: Rt. 89 North from Ithaca will be closed during this event. Please take Rt. 96 North from Ithaca up to Americana past Trumansburg to east Covert Rd. If you do take Rt. 89 North please follow the Cayuga Wine Trail signs. All wineries can be visited from Rt. 89 South starting from Montezuma Winery.
