Rich DePaolo

Since moving to Ithaca in the mid-1980s, producer/engineer/singer-songwriter Rich DePaolo has worked with dozens of local artists, including the Burns Sisters, Patti Witten, Jody Kessler, Ritsu Katsumata, Egypt Iowa and many more. He was also one of the driving forces in Red Letter, one of upstate New York's leading progressive rock bands in the early 1990s.

Now, DePaolo has finally completed his long-awaited debut album, "For the Loss of Divinity," and he'll celebrate with a special CD release show at the Haunt Friday, Nov. 21. He'll be joined by his band Beta Blue -- Robby Aceto, Bill King, Walter Strauss, Mike Ricciardi -- and other local musicians with whom he's worked over the years. The Thins -- a trio featuring Gabe Tavares and Brian Dudla of Plastic Nebraska and AJ Strauss of The Sutras -- open the 9 p.m. show
